Personal Post: Anxiety about Taking Toddler & Baby #2 to a Wedding??

Anxiety about Taking Toddler & Baby #2 to a Wedding??

I received an email this morning letting me know I only have 15 weeks till our little girl arrives. I’m so excited to meet her, but at the same time very nervous about taking care of them both and even the simplest things like going to the store. I’ve been told these feelings are normal, but after a while you just go with it.  I need your opinions on something…

My babysitter’s daughter is getting married this September and wanted my daughter to be her flower girl. Riley just turned two and tends to those moments that every 2 year old has. Saying No to things, trying to be a little mischievous, and throwing fits when things just aren’t going their way. The wedding is 4 hrs away and I would more than likely have to take her and our new little on the trip by myself. My husband will more than likely be working since he is using his vacation time to get things ready for Baby #2’s arrival and when she gets here.

I finally called the bride last night and told her I wasn’t going to let Riley do it. In my opinion, I just think it will be a lot to handle. I’m nervous to take them both to the grocery store, so I’m clearly nervous about going on a 4 hr car ride with them, then hoping Riley will walk down the aisle, and cooperate. I think I would feel different if I was going to a wedding where my family was present because I know they would help me with the kids or if Riley was another year older and simply listened a lot better…Am I crazy for doing this and overreacting??

It would be way cute to have photos of Riley all dressed up and have everyone oo and ahh over her, plus I know she is going to grow up a lot in the next 9 months.  So I’m wondering…if you were in my shoes would you have done the same thing??

Personal Post: 24 Weeks Pregnant Today

I saw this on another blog and thought these questions were cute and a great way I can share how this pregnancy is going with followers, friends, and family. I will start now going to the doctor every 2 weeks, so I figured after each appt i could post a photo and an update to the questions below.

How far along? 24 Weeks

Total weight gain: 16 lbs. (Dr. says I'm right around the same weight I was when I was pregnant with Riley.

Maternity clothes? YES :) I've been in them since about 12 weeks. I started showing alot sooner this time around, which I hear is pretty normal. All my normal jeans just got too tight and my Bellaband didn't last as long.

Stretch marks? No real stretch marks have appeared yet. I'm wondering if it's because my belly has already been stretched out before.

Sleep: I sleep well like every other day. After a night of not getting a good amount of sleep, I tend to sleep pretty good the next. I do find myself tossing and turning quite a bit trying to get comfortable. When I was pregnant with Riley I slept with a body pillow which helped. It might be time to break that out again.

Best moment last week: Riley gave the baby a kiss, well she kissed my belly and give it hug :) It was too adorable.

Miss Anything? We're getting excited to upgrade RIley's room to a big girl room since this little one in my belly needs her crib. We went recently and picked RIley the cutest owl bedding and room decor. It's also pastel colors. Hopefully she will love it.

Movement: I mainly feel her moving at night when I roll over to go to sleep. She kicks quite a bit.

Food cravings: I heart pineapple. I can seriously eat a can all in one sitting. I love orange/pineapple juice. I've also discovered pineapple coconut ice cream. It is just too yummy :)

Anything making you queasy or sick:  The only times I've been getting queasy

Gender: It's a GIRL

Labor Signs: None yet thankfully

Symptoms: Just tired, but working through it

Belly Button in or out? It's out and has been for quite a while

Wedding rings on or off? My rings are still on, but me and the hubby had a discussion about me maybe removing them soon.

Happy or Moody most of the time: For the most part I'm happy. I wouldn't say Moody, but emotional. This past week I've cried a few times over crazy things. I even cried over Joe Paterno dying this weekend. I'm not even a huge football fan, but just thought it was sad :(

Looking forward to: my girls weekend in Dallas the first week of Feb, which is only a short time away!! I booked my ticket tonight! I'm meeting up with my best friends from college. My college roomie just had a little boy in November and I can't wait to meet him. My best friend I talk to once a week is also expecting her first baby. She also finds out this Friday what she is having!!

If you are pregnant and blogging, how are you documenting your pregnancy??

Cute Ways to Announce A Pregnancy...

Okay so I am seriously in love with Pinterest. If you use it feel free to follow me if you want. There is a button on the top right side. I seriously feel like it's the cutest website because you can search by topic and it's so much easier to find ideas and photos all in one place. I thought it would be cute to show off some of the ways couples announce their pregnancies to friends and family. We just called everyone on the phone. I wish I would have seen some of these ideas before telling everyone about us having baby #2. My best friend announced her pregnancy this past weekend in a real way :) I'm too excited for her!

If you're looking for a cute way to tell everyone here are some ideas...

Would you do something like these??
And how did you tell friends and family you were expecting??
